Following the Boston Celtics’ rout of Indiana, Jayson Tatum asks us not to take Al Horford for granted.
All-NBA teammate Jayson Tatum wants you to know that although veteran Boston Celtics forward Al Horford may not have flashy stats to show off, he is the team’s main driver and has kept Boston at the top of the standings this season.
Tatum made it clear that we should value Horford’s contributions to Boston after the Celtics easily defeated the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday night. Horford is a product of Florida. According to Boston Dot Com’s Colin McCarthy, the St. Louis native said, “We just can not keep taking him for granted.”
Tatum went on, “(He’s) the best teammate I have ever had, the epitome of professionalism, and someone we can count on, night in and night out.” “He proved it once more tonight.”
Notwithstanding the fact that Horford is scoring at a career low, the 16-year veteran is still crucial to what the Celtics need on any given night.
However, as has been the case for some time, Boston’s intangibles, which appear in the box score in large quantities and some that do not, have become nearly automatic as he adjusts his output and intensity based on the role he is asked to play.
