“Top-tier”… Leeds’ goal scorer Mateo Joseph believes that Chelsea possesses two players who are unmatched in their skill level.

Leeds United’s goal scorer Mateo Joseph expressed admiration for two Chelsea players following their match in the FA Cup last night.

Speaking to the club website, he believed that despite the Championship side’s deserving performance at Stamford Bridge, the superior individual quality of Chelsea players prevailed.

Joseph scored his debut goals for Leeds, igniting celebrations among the Shed End supporters multiple times.

Nonetheless, Chelsea exhibited resilience in a challenging environment. Goals from Nicolas Jackson, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Conor Gallagher secured their passage to the quarter-finals.

Of particular note were the assists for two goals, provided by Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, players often overlooked for their contribution in this regard.

Joseph commended the duo post-match, recognizing them as among the elite players in their respective positions.

Joseph lauded Fernandez and Caicedo as ‘world-class’, stating, “I believe we deserved the victory personally. We encountered a formidable opponent. They have acquired numerous world-class players, including Enzo and Caicedo, who are exceptional in their roles, and I’m genuinely pleased with our performance here.”
