Report indicates that the Jazz are set to offer Taevion Kinsey a 10-day contract.
Salt Lake City – The Utah Jazz are reportedly set to ink Taevion Kinsey, a wing from the Salt Lake City Stars, to a 10-day contract.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Jazz will bring on guard Taevion Kinsey for a 10-day deal from their NBA G League team, the Salt Lake City Stars. Kinsey’s agent, Scott Nichols, confirmed the news via social media. Charania noted, “Kinsey has averaged 14.8 points in last 10 games for Stars and has shot 46.8% from 3 for the season.”
Kinsey has appeared in 25 games with the Jazz G League affiliate this season, averaging 10.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 29 minutes per game. Standing at 6-foot-5, Kinsey showcases impressive athleticism and boasts shooting percentages of 56% from the field, 47% from beyond the arc, and 84% from the free-throw line.
Initially, Kinsey signed an exhibit-10 contract with the Jazz in August but was promptly waived and picked up by the Stars. Before this contract, the Marshall University alum represented the Jazz during the Salt Lake City and Las Vegas Summer leagues. At Marshall, Kinsey posted averages of 17.1 points and 4.9 rebounds over five seasons before going undrafted in 2023.
