The Miami HEAT have officially signed Patty Mills as announced today, while simultaneously waiving Dru Smith. The terms of the contract were not disclosed, following the club’s policy.

Mills, a seasoned NBA player with 15 years of experience, has participated in 879 NBA games, starting 107 of them. Throughout his career, he has averaged 8.9 points, 2.2 assists, and 1.7 rebounds in 20.2 minutes per game. His shooting percentages stand at 42.5% from the field, 38.9% from beyond the arc, and 85.4% from the free-throw line. Notably, he ranks fourth in three-pointers made, eighth in games played, and 20th in total points among all-time NBA bench players. In the 2021-22 season, Mills achieved a career-high of 227 three-pointers made, scoring a total of 923 points, marking a personal best for a single season.
