Breaking down the agreement inked by Josh Allen, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ pass rusher

Annual bonuses totaling $1.75 million are contingent on performance metrics, including $250,000 for achieving 12.5 sacks, $500,000 for reaching 14.0 sacks, $750,000 for hitting 17.5 sacks, and $1 million for earning Pro Bowl or first-team All-Pro recognition.

The contract’s base value stands at $141.25 million, averaging $28.25 million annually.

Payment breakdown: $35 million in the initial year, $33 million in 2025, $23 million in 2026, $24.75 million in 2027, and $25.5 million in 2028, with potential for the full five-year term.

$76.5 million is guaranteed upon signing, with an additional $11.5 million guaranteed by March 2026.

The contract achieves $150 million ($30 million yearly) if Allen consistently achieves 17.5 sacks and attains Pro Bowl or All-Pro status each season.

Comparable to Brian Burns’ deal with the Giants, Allen’s contract slightly exceeds Burns’ average annual value at $28.2 million. However, Burns’ incentives are marginally higher at $1.8 million annually, achievable through sack milestones or accolades.
