Rick Barnes, the head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers, shared his opinions regarding Darlinstone Dubar, a transfer from Hofstra.

The Tennessee Volunteers have formally welcomed Darlinstone Dubar, a transfer from Hofstra, who committed earlier this week. Dubar, who stood out for the Pride last season, showcased impressive averages of 17.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game during the 2023 season. Standing at 6 feet 8 inches and weighing 211 pounds, Dubar possesses the versatility to handle the ball effectively.

Tennessee’s head coach, Rick Barnes, shared his thoughts on Dubar following his official signing with the program. Barnes, who has demonstrated adeptness in navigating the transfer portal, expressed optimism about Dubar’s potential impact on the team.

“Darlinstone epitomizes true competitiveness and consistency,” Barnes conveyed to the media. “As a versatile player capable of excelling in various positions, he brings valuable skills to our team, including his prowess in three-point shooting, midrange shots, and finishing at the rim. Moreover, Darlinstone’s toughness and diligent work ethic align well with the existing dynamic within our locker room.”
