Louisville linebacker Jaylin Alderman is scheduled to make a visit to Arkansas.
The Arkansas football team is expecting another transfer visit later this week, with confirmation from HawgBeat that Louisville linebacker Jaylin Alderman will be visiting Fayetteville on Wednesday.
Standing at 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 230 pounds, Alderman, who will soon be a senior, started in all 13 games at linebacker for the Cardinals. He amassed 58 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks during his time at Louisville.
One of his standout performances occurred against Boston College on Sept. 23, where he recorded nine tackles, a tackle for loss, and a sack. Alderman demonstrated consistency throughout the season, registering at least half a tackle for loss in seven different games.
In the ACC Championship game against the formidable Florida State, Alderman showcased his effectiveness with six tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and half a sack.
According to Pro Football Focus, Alderman concluded the 2023-24 season with 606 total snaps and a commendable defensive grade of 65.6.
Originally hailing from Valdosta, Georgia, Alderman was rated as a three-star prospect. He initially opted for Louisville over offers from programs such as Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, and Middle Tennessee State.
Heading into the spring transfer portal window, Arkansas had a noticeable requirement for experienced depth at the linebacker position. While it had already secured assistance with the addition of Jacksonville State transfer signee Larry Worth, Alderman’s potential addition would further bolster the position, potentially making it a significant asset for the 2024-25 season.
As of now, the Hogs have eight available scholarships to allocate toward potential roster enhancements. Stay updated on all the offseason developments by following The Trough premium message board.
