The New Orleans Saints selected Oregon State OL Taliese Fuaga with the 14th overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.

Here’s what Fuaga brings to the Saints, based on his career at Oregon State.

Fuaga is an athletic, aggressive lineman who has the ability to thrive at either guard or tackle. He was arguably the top run-blocking offensive tackle in college football during his senior year with the Beavers.

During Oregon State’s Week 4 loss to Washington State last fall, Fuaga garnered a season-best 93.0 PFF grade and allowed just one quarterback pressure against a defensive front that featured all-conference edge defenders Brennan Jackson and Ron Stone Jr. One season earlier, Fuaga helped pave the way to the Beavers’ upset win over Oregon in the regular season finale.

Ranked second nationally among offensive linemen with 88.2 Pro Football Focus overall grade; ranked first nationally with 90.9 run-blocking grade.

Fuaga garnered a total score of 83 at the NFL Combine — sixth-best among offensive linemen in this year’s class. He ran a 5.13-second 40-year dash, vertical jumped 32 inches, and broad jumped 9 feet, 3 inches.
