With an impressive college tenure, Daniels arrives in Washington highly regarded. He burst onto the LSU scene in 2022 after three years with the Arizona State football program, leading the Tigers to a 10-4 record with 2,913 passing yards and 17 touchdowns, securing a second-place finish in the SEC standings.

In 2023, Daniels achieved unprecedented success, amassing a collegiate career-high of 3,812 yards and an impressive 40 touchdowns, earning him the prestigious Heisman Trophy.
