Significant development in Derby County’s pursuit of Ebou Adams from Cardiff City surfaces.

The Telegraph disclosed that Derby County aimed to extend Ebou Adams’ temporary stint at Pride Park beyond the summer and anticipated negotiations between the two clubs to commence soon.

Ebou Adams joined Cardiff City at the beginning of the 2022/23 season but missed the entire campaign due to injury sustained in a pre-season friendly against Cambridge United.

According to Darren Witcoop, Derby is preparing a £250,000 bid for the 28-year-old midfielder. Cardiff City is reportedly willing to let Adams leave but is seeking £500,000 for his transfer.

Quotes from Adams following his team’s promotion to the Championship suggest his willingness to stay at Pride Park, expressing gratitude to the fans and the club for their support.

During his half-season tenure with Derby, Adams showcased the quality that earned him the move to Cardiff City, serving as a midfield anchor. While he wasn’t able to replicate this performance for Cardiff due to various reasons, Derby provided him with the opportunity to display his capabilities once again.
