All eyes are fixed on Caitlin Clark as fans eagerly anticipate her WNBA debut with the Indiana Fever. Despite the potential for a veteran player on the team to lose her starting position to Clark, she expresses wholehearted readiness to welcome the rookie with support and assistance.

Erica Wheeler, who currently occupies the starting point guard position, shares her perspective on the arrival of Clark, the number one overall draft pick. She emphasizes that she doesn’t view it as a competition and is committed to ensuring Clark feels embraced and comfortable within the team.

According to USA Today, Wheeler stated, “It’s how I was raised, I don’t have no hate in my heart. I want everybody around me to win. Whether you are winning or not, I still want to push you to be great.” She further expressed her excitement about the opportunity to assist Clark, describing her approach as that of a supportive big sister.

Wheeler’s positive attitude and willingness to mentor Clark reflect her desire to contribute to the team’s success and foster a collaborative environment within the Fever organization.
