During an appearance on Steve Smith Sr.’s Agent 89 Breakdown, James Palmer offered a decisive assessment of Rice’s situation, affirming the likelihood of a suspension and indicating the seriousness of the punishment the Chiefs anticipate. “He’s gonna be suspended, let’s just put it out there,” Palmer stated. “They’re expecting half a season, at least.”
Palmer’s assertion suggests that the Chiefs are bracing for Rice to be sidelined for a minimum of eight games in the upcoming 2024 season. This projection contrasts with earlier estimates provided by other NFL insiders.
