“Perhaps not exclusively through free agency, but it’s widely acknowledged that if you’re a Kings fan or have been following this market for some time, this organization tends to make its biggest moves via trades,” Sean Cunningham remarked on Friday. “Especially after a season like the one we’ve just witnessed in the competitive Western Conference, where it’s clear that being aggressive is necessary, and the expectations of what constitutes success, such as achieving 48-50 wins, may have shifted. So, every year presents opportunities, and the key is to be proactive. With all their draft picks still intact, they have considerable draft capital that could be leveraged for the right opportunity.”
