its a done deal: A Mega talented star player Committed to the Panthers just…

According to an NFL executive, the New England Patriots haven’t equipped rookie quarterback Drake Maye with all the necessary resources for success in his debut season. Drawing parallels with the situations of rookie quarterbacks like C.J. Stroud of the Houston Texans and Bryce Young of the Carolina Panthers in 2023, the executive suggests that the Patriots’ circumstances resemble those of the Panthers more closely than the Texans.

Following a disappointing 2023 season resulting in a 4-13 record, the Patriots parted ways with head coach Bill Belichick. Despite securing a high draft pick and selecting Maye as the third overall choice after his impressive tenure at North Carolina, the team’s offensive struggles persisted.

Comparing it unfavorably to Carolina’s situation, where Young faced challenges due to a lackluster offense resulting in numerous sacks and limited receiving options, the executive implies that Maye may encounter similar obstacles in New England. The Patriots’ offensive woes were evident in their low yardage per game and poor red zone conversion rate in 2023.

Despite attempts to bolster the offense by drafting Ja’lynn Polk and acquiring veterans like Austin Hooper and Antonio Gibson, there are doubts whether these moves will be sufficient to elevate the Patriots’ offensive performance in the upcoming season.
