Analyst Selects Ideal New Team for Phoenix Suns’ Star Kevin Durant

Following the Phoenix Suns’ disappointing first-round exit at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves, all possibilities are being considered to bolster the team’s performance.

In the event that such considerations involve trading Kevin Durant – a move owner Mat Ishbia likely doesn’t see as necessary – Bleacher Report suggests a reunion with the Golden State Warriors could be on the horizon.

“If the Suns’ elimination from the playoffs prompts Durant to seek a new path, he might contemplate returning to the Bay Area. Although circumstances have evolved since his initial tenure with the Warriors in 2016, characterized by a triumphant three-year stretch with three Finals appearances and two championships, the potential for synergy remains,” wrote Zach Buckley.

“Golden State is eager to secure a second star alongside Stephen Curry, and few stars shine brighter than Durant, who, at 35, averaged 27.1 points with impressive shooting percentages. Considering Phoenix’s current inability to contend and seemingly limited prospects for change, Durant may explore new opportunities. Golden State offers greater flexibility and potential, with an offensive system that previously suited him impeccably.

“Moreover, he may avoid the accusations of bandwagon-jumping that marred his initial stint with the team. In Northern California, where the Warriors narrowly missed the playoffs for the third time in five seasons, such criticisms may be less prevalent.”

Durant remains under contract with the Suns for two more years.
