Hawkeyes Update: Iowa recruits ex-Northwestern quarterback Sullivan
Former Northwestern quarterback Brendan Sullivan announced his transfer to Iowa on Wednesday, revealing that he will have two years of eligibility left. Last season, Sullivan played in seven games for the Wildcats, starting four of them. Northwestern had a 2-2 record in the games where Sullivan was the starting quarterback. His final game of the season was against Iowa on Nov. 4 at Wrigley Field, where he completed 12 of 19 passes for 81 yards and a touchdown in a 10-7 loss to the Hawkeyes. In the previous week’s game against Maryland, Sullivan had his most impressive performance of the season, throwing for 265 yards and two touchdowns in a 23-16 victory. Throughout the season, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound quarterback completed 63 of 99 passes for 714 yards, with six touchdown passes and three interceptions. While not known for his running ability, Sullivan showcased some mobility, recording 288 rushing yards and two touchdowns, though he lost 128 yards due to sacks.
