Record Breaking: Detroit Lions Sign Four Day 3 Draft Picks: Manu, Vaki, Wingo, and Mahogany

Before the commencement of rookie minicamp on Friday, the Detroit Lions inked deals with all four of their Day 3 draft selections.

The team officially announced the signings of Giovanni Manu and Sione Vaki, their fourth-round picks, as well as Mekhi Wingo and Christian Mahogany, who were selected in the sixth round.

All draft selections are entitled to standard four-year contracts as per the current collective bargaining agreement.

As per information from OverTheCap.com, Manu’s contract holds a total value of $4.745 million, featuring a signing bonus of $725,656. Vaki’s contract amounts to $4.548 million, inclusive of a $528,700 signing bonus. Wingo’s contract stands at $4.208 million, with a signing bonus of $186,800, while Mahogany’s contract totals $4.158 million, including a signing bonus of $138,396.

The Lions still have two draft picks yet to sign, both being their top selections: Terrion Arnold, their first-rounder, and Ennis Rakestraw Jr., their second-rounder. Arnold, chosen as the 24th pick, is slated to receive a four-year contract valued at $14.344 million, with a team option for 2028. Rakestraw, selected at Pick No. 61, is expected to receive a contract worth $6.48 million.
