Reported by WVUA-23 Sports Reporter Theodore Fernandez, just a little over fourteen days since his selection as the No. 7 pick by the Tennessee Titans, former Alabama tackle JC Latham has officially agreed to a fully guaranteed four-year contract worth $26.04 million.

Latham showcased his prowess by starting every game at right tackle for the Crimson Tide in both 2022 and 2023, earning him recognition as an AP Second Team All-American in 2023. As the second-highest drafted lineman in the draft, he is anticipated to vie for the left tackle position with the Titans.

Standing impressively at 6’6″ and weighing 242 pounds, Latham’s physical attributes are undeniable. His performance in the 2023 season included an impressive 41 knockdown blocks, solidifying his status as an elite prospect. While some concerns have been voiced regarding Latham’s perceived lack of lateral quickness, scouts and analysts widely agree that his ample strength and agility compensate for any shortcomings in this area.

Now representing the forefront of a Titans offensive line that has faced significant challenges in recent years, Latham is expected to provide a solution. With a young quarterback in Will Levis and a talented duo of running backs in Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears, Latham is poised to make an immediate impact as a starter, elevating the entire unit and bolstering Tennessee’s competitiveness in the AFC South.
