Breaking: Few, Gonzaga’s men’s basketball team secures transfer Emmanuel Innocenti from Tarleton State.

In Spokane, Washington, Gonzaga Bulldogs head coach Mark Few is bolstering his formidable roster. Emmanuel Innocenti, a 6-foot-five forward transferring from Tarleton State, revealed his commitment to Gonzaga via social media on Wednesday.

During his freshman year with the Texans, Innocenti showcased his skills, averaging 6.6 points and 6.4 rebounds while shooting 40.6% from the field and an impressive 80% from the free-throw line. He capped off his successful debut season by earning recognition with All-WAC Freshman and All-WAC Defensive honors.

Prior to his college career, Innocenti spent four seasons playing for Stella Azzurra Roma, notably alongside Stevie Thompson during the 2018–19 season, a prominent figure in the league, despite Innocenti being just 15 years old at the time. Across seven games, he maintained averages of 11.1 points and 7.1 rebounds, with an average playing time of 25.6 minutes per game.

Emmanuel will now be part of a Gonzaga roster that welcomes back six of its seven key players from the previous season, including Graham Ike, Nolan Hickman, Ryan Nembhard, Ben Gregg, Braden Huff, and Dusty Stromer. Another returning Bulldog, sharpshooter Steele Venters, is recovering from an ACL tear and is expected to enhance the team’s offensive capabilities.

Mark Few has successfully recruited three transfers to join the team, with Innocenti being the latest addition following Arkansas transfer guard Khalif Battle and former Pepperdine guard Michael Ajayi.

Although Gonzaga has seen the departure of two scholarship players this year—Luka Krajnovic, who averaged 8.3 points per game across 16 appearances, and Pavle Stosic, who averaged 3.3 points per game in 14 appearances—the team has effectively filled these gaps.

Currently ranked No. 3 in preseason polls and projected as a 2-seed in the NCAA Tournament, Gonzaga boasts an impressive roster, providing Coach Mark Few and his staff with abundant options for the upcoming season.
