ITS A DONE DEAL: He is coming back once again……
Brazilian reporter Jorge Nicola has shared updates on Southampton defender Lyanco’s future. Currently on loan at Al-Gharafa SC in Qatar, Lyanco’s contract with Southampton runs until 2025. Nicola reports that Lyanco has opted not to return to Southampton and is open to offers this summer.
Two Brazilian clubs, one from São Paulo and another from Rio de Janeiro, are reportedly interested in signing him, though they remain unnamed. Al-Gharafa SC is also interested in retaining him.
Lyanco views a return to Brazil favorably over staying with Southampton. Whether the Brazilian clubs can reach a financial agreement with him and Southampton remains uncertain.
Transfermarkt values Lyanco at €3m. Given his impending contract expiry and the apparent lack of plans between him and Southampton, it wouldn’t be surprising if he were let go for a nominal fee.
