Confirmed deal: He is coming…..

Bramall Lane needs a complete overhaul before the next season begins. From the outset, it seemed inevitable that they would struggle to stay in the Premier League.

The sale of key players Iliman Ndiaye and Sander Berge only compounded their difficulties, leading to their last-place finish.

The current squad is lackluster, and while many United fans hope for a major clear-out, a few players might still be useful in the Championship next season.

It’s uncertain if Wilder will remain at Bramall Lane for the 24/25 season, should the club opt for a full reset.

Significant activity in the summer transfer window is crucial if Wilder’s team wants to vie for a return to the Premier League. Three potential transfers could greatly benefit the current manager.

Ben Brereton Diaz has been a rare bright spot in an otherwise dismal second half of the season for the Blades. Although his loan from Villarreal wasn’t enough to prevent relegation, he’s shown he has the quality to play at a higher level. His previous stint with Blackburn Rovers demonstrated his potential, and securing him permanently, despite reports of his return to Villarreal, would be a solid start for next season.

Rhian Brewster, the former Liverpool forward, has underperformed since joining Sheffield nearly four years ago. At 24, he still has potential, but it’s unlikely he will realize it at United. With Capology estimating him as the second-highest earner at the club at £35,000 per week, it would be wise to move him on rather than retain him, even with potential wage reductions due to relegation clauses.

Ashley Phillips, the young Tottenham Hotspur defender, was a solid addition to Plymouth Argyle’s defense in the latter part of the last Championship season. His performance has attracted Wilder’s attention, and a loan move would be beneficial. United’s defense has been woeful, and new faces are essential. Phillips, with his proven Championship experience, is likely on the manager’s summer wish list.
