Insider Report: Ryan Day of Ohio State football on a move to steal five-star WR after….Read More

The Ohio State football team has a genuine chance to secure a five-star wide receiver following his de-commitment.

It’s widely recognized that Brian Hartline is the top recruiter for the Ohio State football program and potentially the best recruiter in the nation. He consistently brings in top-tier wide receiver talent, ensuring that the Buckeyes continually have a strong lineup at that position. However, Hartline has yet to secure a five-star recruit or any receiver in this class. One recruit included the Buckeyes in his final four choices, but no commitments have been made yet. This could change soon, as Ohio State might secure a commitment from a five-star receiver.

Recently, the Buckeyes hosted five-star receiver Dakorien Moore, who was committed to LSU at the time. He has another visit scheduled to Ohio State at the end of the month, but he has since de-committed from LSU and reopened his recruitment. This gives Ohio State a prime opportunity, as Moore’s next visit is to Columbus at the end of May. Securing a player of Moore’s caliber would be a significant win for the program.

Moore is not only the top receiver in this class but also the third-best player overall. His talent is comparable to Jeremiah Smith, and he has already shown great potential. Adding Moore would provide the Buckeyes with another exceptional target for their young quarterbacks next year.

Although Moore is currently projected to go to Texas, this is still subject to change. Hartline, along with Ryan Day and Chip Kelly, will be making a strong pitch during Moore’s visit. I believe Ohio State has a good chance of landing him.
