BREAKING NEWS: He is coming back fully for….

Leeds United have regained their momentum just in time for the crucial stage of the season, potentially giving them an advantage over Southampton in the upcoming play-off final.

Daniel Farke’s squad quelled any fears of anxiety with an emphatic 4-0 win against Norwich City on Thursday, securing their spot at Wembley. Southampton joined them the next day with a 3-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion.

Previously, Leeds had shown signs of nervousness towards the end of the regular season and in the first leg of the play-offs at Carrow Road. However, their dominant performance against the Canaries sets them up well for the final at Wembley. Former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop believes this momentum could give Leeds the edge.

Hislop, who has been following Leeds’ journey for ESPN in the U.S., expressed initial concerns about Leeds’ end-of-season form but noted their impressive turnaround. “Leeds competed with Leicester and Ipswich for much of the season before faltering,” he told ESPN FC. “That worried me a bit. But their second-leg performance against Norwich was excellent—they got their mojo back. Leeds are slightly better than Southampton and should narrowly secure the win.”

Despite Leeds’ late-season struggles, Southampton defeated them on the final day of the regular season and also claimed a victory earlier in the season at St Mary’s.
