NBA veteran DeMar DeRozan has expressed that he “would love” to return to the Chicago Bulls.
As DeMar DeRozan prepares to enter free agency this offseason, the 15-year NBA veteran expressed his desire to re-sign with the Chicago Bulls.
During an appearance on the Run It Back show with former NBA guard Lou Williams, DeRozan praised the city of Chicago and the Bulls organization.
“It’s definitely somewhere I’d like to return to,” DeRozan said. “No matter how tough the situation might look, I’m one of those guys that tries to stick it through and make something out of nothing. The city is great, I love the city, and the organization has been great. It’s definitely a place I would love to return to and take care of unfinished business.”
During this period, the team has made the playoffs only once, losing 4-1 in the first round to the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2021-22 postseason.
The 34-year-old forward has continued to deliver strong performances, averaging 24.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists while shooting 48% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range.
This season, the Bulls ended up as the #9 seed in the Eastern Conference. They won their first play-in tournament game against the Atlanta Hawks but lost on the road to the Miami Heat, missing out on the playoffs.
