Randi Mahomes recently discussed the challenges her family faces as her son Patrick Mahomes rises to NFL fame. In an appearance on the “Kent Hance – The Best Storyteller in Texas” podcast in 2021, Randi described their whirlwind life in the public eye and the difficulty of maintaining family traditions. She mentioned that she “can’t even remember the last time we’ve had a dinner with just me and my kids.”
Despite the fame, the Mahomes family works to balance the pressures of public life while cherishing their moments together. “Sometimes I feel like the world is against our family,” she said. Patrick Mahomes’ career, featuring three Super Bowl appearances and various other ventures, has thrust the family into the spotlight. “It’s fast and furious,” Randi remarked in 2021. “It’s a new life that I’m having to adjust to.”
Nonetheless, Randi Mahomes expressed earlier this year that being a mother is what she enjoys the most. “Being a mother is my favorite thing sometimes, and sometimes it’s hard, but it is my favorite thing, and I always say, ‘Where would I be without it?'” she told People.
Randi shares two sons, Patrick and Jackson Mahomes, with her ex-husband Pat Mahomes Sr., a former MLB pitcher from the late 1990s and early 2000s. She also has a 12-year-old daughter, Mia Randall, from a previous relationship.
