Tennessee quarterback commit George MacIntyre will participate in the premier summer camp competition for top signal-callers. The five-star recruit from Brentwood Academy has been invited to the Elite 11 Finals, as announced by the Elite 11’s Twitter account on Monday night. MacIntyre earned his spot after attending the Oxford Regional in Mississippi on April 7 and will compete in the main event from June 18-20 in Los Angeles.

MacIntyre is among 20 quarterbacks from the 2025 class selected for the Elite 11 Finals, which features three days of on-field passing drills, classroom instruction, and off-field development. The event will conclude with the announcement of the Elite 11 and its MVP.

Rated as a five-star prospect by 247Sports, MacIntyre is ranked No. 10 overall and the top in-state player in the 2025 class, as well as the No. 3 quarterback behind LSU commit Bryce Underwood and Ohio State commit Tavien St. Clair.

Standing at 6-foot-5.5 and 190 pounds, MacIntyre committed to Tennessee in January, choosing the Vols over Alabama. He visited Tennessee at least nine times between June 2022 and his announcement. He was a five-star in the 247Sports Composite at the time and reaffirmed his five-star status with 247Sports in March.

Since becoming the headliner of Tennessee’s 2025 recruiting class, MacIntyre has returned to campus multiple times, attending the first spring practices in March and the Orange & White Game in April. Tennessee’s staff also visited Brentwood Academy this spring.

Despite continued interest from Alabama and Florida State, MacIntyre remains firmly committed to Tennessee. He told 247Sports, “I’m 100 percent locked in. I’m not taking other visits and I’m not answering calls. I appreciate the schools still reaching out to me, but I’m solid with Tennessee.”

In his junior season at Brentwood Academy, MacIntyre completed 67% of his passes for 3,229 yards, with 25 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, and rushed for three touchdowns. He also received Division I basketball offers and was part of a state championship team as a sophomore.

MacIntyre is the grandson of former Vanderbilt and UT Martin head coach, and his uncle is Florida International head coach Mike MacIntyre. The last Tennessee quarterback commit to participate in the Elite 11 Finals was Tayven Jackson in 2021; Nico Iamaleava was selected but did not participate the following year.

247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins described MacIntyre as a high-upside quarterback with a college-level arm, fluid pocket movements, and a frame likely to fill out further. While not a true dual-threat, he is elusive under pressure and has the potential to develop significantly with a strong supporting cast.
