NFL REPORT: Panthers owner Dave Tepper canceled Derek Carr’s deal due to his

From Monday to Saturday, the Carolina Panthers lack a permanent home. On Sundays in the fall, they play at Bank of America Stadium or various venues nationwide, but during the week, they practice at temporary locations.

After the Rock Hill practice facility fiasco and the collapse of the Atrium Health practice dome, fans and players have been curious about the team’s future practice plans.

On Monday evening, curious minds got their first glimpse of the Panthers’ potential new practice site. Nick Carboni of WCNC Charlotte shared the initial set of renderings on X.

“Here are some renderings (not final) the team provided to City Council tonight. The video is from this afternoon at practice.” pic.twitter.com/JSpHV7SlLy

Although these renderings are unofficial, they offer a preview of what’s to come: indoor and outdoor facilities, a dedicated fan deck, and overall upgraded amenities. The team has certainly progressed from practicing in a hotel ballroom during the week leading up to Super Bowl 50.

As with many initiatives by David Tepper in Charlotte, this plan has sparked controversy. Uptown residents have labeled the potential field house an “eyesore,” and there are widespread concerns about it obstructing the skyline views.

The Carolina Panthers’ players and coaching staff need a permanent practice facility. The uncertainty of practice locations due to weather has placed past Panthers teams at a significant competitive disadvantage. Once these renderings become official and construction begins on the new facilities, it will be a significant step forward for the Carolina Panthers’ practice areas.
