Its about to go down: Wolverhampton Wanderers are about to lose a star player to the Newcastle United just……
According to a recent report from The Telegraph, Newcastle United are targeting Wolverhampton Wanderers star Pedro Neto. The Magpies are reportedly planning a move to acquire the Portuguese winger this summer.
Neto has had a solid season at Molineux Stadium, despite missing many games due to injuries. He has scored three goals and provided 11 assists in 24 matches for Wolves across various competitions.
The 24-year-old has performed well in the attacking third, averaging 1.8 shots, 1.9 key passes, and 1.9 dribbles per game in the Premier League. He has also demonstrated accuracy in his wide-area passing, completing 83.4% of his passes in the English top flight (stats via whoscored).
With his current contract at Wolves set to expire in the summer of 2027, Newcastle United will need to present a compelling offer to secure Neto’s transfer this year.
Neto excels at dribbling and making dangerous runs in the opposition half. His pace poses significant challenges for defenders, and he can be an effective finisher when in form.
Additionally, the Portuguese talent is skilled at delivering decisive passes to his teammates in forward positions. While primarily a right-winger, he is also capable of playing as a left-winger or an attacking midfielder when necessary.
Neto would significantly enhance Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe’s attacking options. His Premier League experience would enable him to quickly adapt to life at St. James’ Park, and he has the potential to become a key player for the Tyneside club in the long run.
