so sad to leave: Tyler Herro provides notice to Miami Heat regarding his departure due to…..
A proper NBA offseason wouldn’t be complete without Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro being at the heart of trade rumors. This year, the chatter is intensifying, especially after Herro listed his 8-bedroom, 9-bathroom Pinecrest home for $12.2 million.
Herro officially put his 9,505-square-foot mansion on the market for $13 million in late April, just two days after the Heat’s blowout loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference first round. (Perhaps he foresaw a bleak outcome against the Celtics and anticipated not staying in South Florida much longer?) The price was lowered to $12.2 million two weeks later.
Herro had purchased the home, featuring an elevator, wine cellar, state-of-the-art kitchen, media room, summer kitchen, and cabana, in December 2022 for $10.5 million, setting a record for the highest sale in Pinecrest at that time. The modern mansion was built just a year earlier.
Two months before buying the estate, the former University of Kentucky player signed a four-year, $120 million contract extension with the Heat, with an additional $10 million in incentives.
Despite winning the Sixth Man of the Year in 2022 and showcasing his offensive skills on the court, Herro frequently finds himself amid trade rumors. This year’s rumors have intensified due to the 24-year-old’s recent injury history and availability concerns. Hampered by knee and ankle injuries, the Heat guard played in only 42 games, though he averaged a career-high 20.8 points per game on 44 percent shooting.
