So sad to say goodbye: Wolves key star player announces his leaving this morning due to….

West Ham United announced this morning that Julen Lopetegui is their new manager, and the Spaniard is reportedly interested in bringing a player from Wolves to the club.

After leaving Wolves just before the 2023/24 season, Lopetegui has remained in England and openly sought another Premier League opportunity. He has now signed a two-year contract with West Ham following the departure of David Moyes.

Lopetegui expressed his enthusiasm this morning, stating, “We have a fantastic platform. The last few years have been great, but as a coach, my ambition is to constantly improve, achieve more, and help the players and the team to compete at higher levels. We are very ambitious.”

West Ham has also announced that Pablo Sanz (Assistant Head Coach), Oscar Caro (Head of Performance & Assistant Coach), Juan Vicente Peinado (Head of Analysis & Assistant Coach), Borja De Alba (Fitness Coach), and Edu Rubio will join Lopetegui’s staff.

Shortly after Lopetegui’s appointment, The Sun reported that he is considering a move for Wolves captain Max Kilman. Kilman played every minute of Wolves’ 2023/24 Premier League campaign and was crucial under Gary O’Neil’s management. Although he faced some challenges towards the end of the season after Craig Dawson’s injury, he had a solid season overall, taking over the captaincy from Ruben Neves.

The Sun claims Wolves would require around £45 million for Kilman. West Ham is currently seen as the leading contender for his signature. Additionally, it was reported last night that West Ham is interested in signing Fabricio Bruno, a player Wolves had previously pursued.
