SPOKANE, Wash. — Braeden Smith, the Patriot League Player of the Year, is joining the Gonzaga men’s basketball team.
Smith, originally from Seattle, averaged 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game with the Colgate Raiders.
Alongside Smith, the Zags have also recently added Emmanuel Innocenti, a transfer from Tarleton State, and Khalif Battle from Arkansas to their roster.
Gonzaga will retain six of their seven key players from last season, during which they advanced to the Sweet 16 before being eliminated by Purdue in the NCAA Tournament.
Head coach Mark Few will have a busy summer, as he has been named to the Team USA coaching staff for the 2024 Olympic Games.
