The White Sox claimed left-handed pitcher Sammy Peralta off waivers from the Seattle Mariners on Sunday and optioned him to Triple-A Charlotte.

Peralta is familiar with the White Sox, who drafted him in the 18th round in 2019. He debuted in the major leagues with them in 2023 but was sent to Charlotte at the start of this season. The Mariners claimed him in early April and optioned him to Triple-A Tacoma.

Peralta struggled in 12 appearances at Tacoma, posting a 9.24 ERA, 1.895 WHIP, with 12 strikeouts and eight walks, leading to his designation for assignment on Thursday.

With Peralta’s addition, the White Sox’s 40-man roster is now full.
