Shocking Acts: Leeds United coach Daniel Farke was fired after involving in a criminal act….
Georginio Rutter has been tipped for success in the Premier League if an offer comes in for the Leeds United forward. However, former Rangers star Ally McCoist hopes that promising talent Archie Gray remains at Elland Road next season.
Daniel Farke is preparing for the potential departure of some key players after his team failed to secure promotion to the Premier League next season. The defeat at Wembley to Southampton means players like Crysencio Summerville, Willy Gnonto, Rutter, and Gray are likely to attract interest from other clubs this summer.
It remains uncertain how many players Leeds will retain, with some departures expected before the next Championship campaign begins. Former Scotland striker McCoist believes that French forward Rutter might draw attention from Premier League clubs, but he hopes Gray stays in West Yorkshire.
Both players have had impressive seasons. Gray, who made his debut on the first day of the campaign, has become a crucial player for Farke, while Rutter, at just 22, has demonstrated his potential to become a top performer.
“I’m not sure it’ll be one of the top six, but I can see Rutter getting a move to the Premier League,” McCoist told talkSPORT. “Whether Leeds have to sell is a different issue, but they need to keep that squad together to aim for promotion next year.
“Looking at the signings, Glen Kamara did reasonably well. Archie Gray, who has been playing in the middle of the park and recently moved to right-back, is someone I’d love to see stay at Leeds for another year or 18 months.”
