Confirmed deal: Another mega satr player committed to the Phoenix Suns just….

PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns have been open about their desire to enhance their already star-studded roster, which features Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal. However, their ability to acquire new players is somewhat restricted due to their current luxury tax situation.

Despite having major stars, the Suns sought key role players to complement their core and aim for their first NBA championship. Unfortunately, they were eliminated from the postseason without winning a playoff game. As the 2024 NBA Draft approaches, trade speculation is expected to ramp up in Phoenix.

At the trade deadline, the Suns acquired Royce O’Neale, but according to Yahoo NBA insider Jake Fischer, they made several attempts to trade for Indiana Pacers point guard T.J. McConnell.

There has been significant discussion about the point guard position and whether the Suns need a “true” point guard to lead the offense. With new coach Mike Budenholzer, the direction of this conversation may change.

Phoenix’s interest in McConnell dates back to last offseason, prior to their acquisition of Beal. His talent, low salary, and potential fit with the team make this interest understandable.
