According to several reports, the deal is valued at $30 million, with Brown’s base salary set at $8.5 million annually. He has the potential to earn up to $10 million per year through bonuses.

In his inaugural season with the Kings last year, Brown guided the team to a 48-34 record and secured their first playoff appearance in 16 years. He was honored as the 2022-23 NBA Coach of the Year.

This past season, Sacramento finished with a 46-36 record. They defeated Golden State in their first game but lost a play-in game for the eighth seed to New Orleans.

Brown, along with Rick Adelman, is one of the only Kings coaches to achieve a winning record in any season since the franchise relocated to Sacramento in 1985.

Brown’s coaching record stands at 441-226 with Cleveland, the Los Angeles Lakers, and Sacramento.
