The former teammate of Paul George desires that he rejoin the Indiana Pacers.

One of the major narratives this NBA offseason revolves around Paul George’s free agency. There remains no definitive evidence on whether George will stay with the Clippers or move to the Philadelphia 76ers next season. However, one of his former teammates is advocating for him to join another team.

On an episode of the 520 Podcast, Jeff Teague, George’s former teammate and an NBA champion, expressed his desire for George to return to the Indiana Pacers. “The player y’all need is Paul George. Y’all need Paul George or Jimmy Butler,” Teague stated. “Y’all need PG. Now that he’s comfortable playing second fiddle and is cool with his role, it’d be a great vibe.” Teague added, “Let Tyrese Haliburton still be himself, but George will get so many open shots with Tyrese and the fast, open style they play. He shoots a lot of 3’s anyway, it’s a great fit for him. But, I’m sure he doesn’t want to leave L.A.”

Even though Teague would like to see George rejoin the Pacers, he believes that his former teammate prefers to stay in LA. The general consensus is that Paul George wants a max contract but is reluctant to leave LA, putting him in a difficult position.
