Oghenetejiri Adejenughure, a striker qualified to play for the Flying Eagles, is being courted by a number of formidable European teams, including Manchester United.

After leading Austria to victory in the 2024 European U17 Championship with four goals in four games, the 17-year-old has put himself in the sale. He finished as the second-highest scorer in the competition.

In games against Serbia and Denmark, he scored twice, bringing his total of eight goals in twelve appearances for the Austria U17s.

Manchester United and Adejenughure’s team have reportedly held discussions regarding the prospect of a transfer, according to The Express UK.Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan are rivals of United for the Austrian-Nigerian forward’s services.

Adejenughure is considered one of the best players in Austria, and coach of Austria’s senior national team Ralf Rangnick has noted that he is a player with enormous potential.

After playing for First Vienna FC and Rapid Vienna, he joined the Red Bull Salzburg youth squads in 2021.

The highly-regarded attacker scored 16 goals in 20 league games to help Red Bull Salzburg win the ÖFB Jugendliga U18 in 2023–2024.

Adejenughure is content in Salzburg, but if moving to a premier overseas team would help him advance, he would be open to the idea.
