breaking news: HE IS COMING….

Birmingham City is about to embark on a new era in the 2024/25 season, an era they had hoped to avoid.

For the first time since 1995, the Blues will compete in the third tier of English football.

This follows their relegation from the Championship on the final day of last season, despite a 1-0 victory over Norwich in their last match, which wasn’t enough to lift them out of the bottom three.

In addition to adjusting to a new division, Birmingham will also be adapting to a new manager.

Chris Davies during his time at Tottenham

Chris Davies has taken over at St. Andrew’s following their relegation to League One.

Last season, the team saw a number of different managers at the helm amid their struggles. They concluded the season with former boss Gary Rowett as interim manager after Tony Mowbray stepped down due to health reasons.

At the end of the campaign, it was confirmed that Mowbray would not be returning, prompting Birmingham to search for a new manager.

They have now appointed Chris Davies, who left his position as a coach at Premier League side Tottenham to lead the Blues.
