It could be Smith Orogbo last season with the Texas Longhorns might he be done with the club too?…..

Four-star pass rusher Smith Orogbo, a top target for the Texas Longhorns in the 2025 class, has included Texas in his final four teams as he prepares to commit on July 1.

On Sunday, Orogbo announced his final choices: the Longhorns, Washington, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma. Jordan Scruggs, a leading expert at 247Sports, predicted last week that Orogbo would choose Texas Tech. Scruggs has a perfect record for 2025 predictions so far, but Texas hopes to change that.

Orogbo visited Texas over the weekend of June 14, where the Longhorns made a compelling case for the 6A First Team All-District Defensive End. Standing at 6’4″ and 220 pounds, Orogbo is ranked 25th in the state by 247Sports. He hails from Alief Hastings High School in Houston and could become Texas’ third defensive lineman for the 2025 class.

The Longhorns’ defensive class is led by edge rusher Lance Jackson, the 12th-ranked player in the state, who could potentially team up with Orogbo on the defensive line.

Orogbo’s final official visit will be to Oklahoma next weekend, giving him one week to finalize his decision. After a reportedly strong visit in Austin, Texas may have a chance to secure this talented pass rusher from both former and current college football rivals.
