IT ANOTHER DEAL DONE: Birmingham City make first summer signing from….

Birmingham City have finalized the signing of Hull City goalkeeper Ryan Allsop.

The 32-year-old Allsop is the first addition of the summer transfer window for Blues and the inaugural signing under new manager Chris Davies. The Birmingham native has committed to a three-year deal at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park.

Blues were on the lookout for a goalkeeper proficient with ball handling, and Allsop is well-known for his skills in this area. After Hull dismissed manager Liam Rosenior, who had brought Allsop in from Cardiff City last summer, Allsop was deemed surplus to requirements, prompting Blues to seize the opportunity.

Allsop, coming from a family of Blues supporters, is returning to Birmingham 13 years after departing from West Bromwich Albion. This marks the 16th club in Allsop’s career, which has included a 10-game spell with Icelandic side Hottur, and journeys from Birmingham to Humberside.
