IT’S A DONE DEAL: Junior Slugger Alexis Pupillo to Join Alabama Softball just…

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball has bolstered its lineup with the addition of rising junior Alexis Pupillo, who transfers to the Crimson Tide after two impressive seasons at Northern Iowa.

Pupillo, who played as a catcher and outfielder for the Panthers, boasts a .382 career batting average (107-for-280), with 35 home runs and 98 RBIs. She is a two-time NFCA All-Region selection and was named in D1Softball’s Top 100 player rankings following both years at UNI. In 2023, she earned the title of Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year. The Crystal Lake, Ill., native has twice been selected for the MVC All-Tournament team and is a two-time First Team All-MVC honoree.

Pupillo is the fifth addition to #Team29 for fall 2024, joining incoming freshmen Braya Hodges (P – Dothan, Ala.), Mari Hubbard (IF – Huntsville, Ala.), Kennedy Marceaux (IF – Kaplan, La.), and Audrey Vandagriff (OF – Bogart, Ga.). Alabama is set to bring back 12 players from its 2024 Women’s College World Series roster.
