Am leaving: Arkansas outfielder Kacie Hoffmann announced her leaving might she be done with the team too….

Former Arkansas outfielder Kacie Hoffmann announced her commitment to Nebraska softball on Monday via her Instagram account.

“I’m thrilled to join this program and blessed to represent my home state! I can’t wait to return to where it all began!” Hoffmann wrote.

In 2022, Hoffmann was named to the SEC All-Tournament team and earned a freshman of the week award.

“When the time is right, the Lord will make it happen,” Hoffmann said. “I recently found these words, and they resonated with me. I believe everything happens for a reason, and God chose this path for my growth as a person and player. I’m incredibly blessed to have been part of such a special team this year.”

Hoffmann also revealed that she played the 2023 season with a significant hindrance.

“The memories and lessons from this year will stay with me forever and make me stronger,” Hoffmann added. “Although I never imagined playing with two torn hip labrums, I wouldn’t change a thing.”

“I’ve gained so much knowledge from those around me this year, and I’m grateful to everyone at the University of Arkansas who pushed me to be my best and made it possible for me to play. I can’t thank them enough! I’m excited about the future and looking forward to starting my journey to full health again! WPS!”

As an alum of Elkhorn South High School in Nebraska, returning home makes perfect sense for Hoffmann. The Huskers have added significant talent to their roster.
