Cross wrote onar  Betis. Mc Roca expected to seal permanent switch in coming days. United pleased to get wages off the books and will not mark up a loss on PSR with fee secured. Two years left on his deal after arriving for around £10m.”

Roca, who spent last season on loan at Real Betis with 37 appearances under Manuel Pellegrini, is now set for a permanent move.

While football transfers are usually paid in installments, Leeds require Real Betis to pay at least £5m immediately.

Cross detailed on Leeds Live that Leeds need this upfront payment to avoid issues with their Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Even for clubs outside thec, this is not a large amount, so hopefully, Real Betis can meet this requirement, keeping Leeds’ finances stable.
