The Penrith Panthers are thrilled to announce the re-signing of rising stars Luron Patea, Billy Scott, Trent Toelau, Luke Sommerton, and Billy Phillips.

These five players recognized the benefits of continuing their rugby league careers with the Panthers.

Nineteen-year-old prop Patea has been promoted to the NRL squad and will stay with the team until the end of the 2027 season. A product of St Clair Comets, Patea represented New South Wales in last year’s Under-19s State of Origin match and has been a standout in the club’s NSW Cup team this season.

Nineteen-year-old hooker Scott has also committed to the Panthers until at least the end of 2027. The Windsor Wolves junior, who played for the Under-19s Blues last year, has been elevated to an NRL development player role until the end of next season, after which he will join the top 30 squad in 2026 and 2027.

Twenty-four-year-old playmaker Toelau has secured an upgraded contract, making him an NRL development player for the next 18 months before advancing to the NRL squad in 2026. The Victorian junior debuted in the NRL during Round 13 against St George Illawarra and also played against Newcastle last Sunday.
