HE IS BACK AGAIN: Former Derby County star heads to Champions League after transfer confirmed
Former Derby County loanee Lewis Dobbin has completed his move to Aston Villa, the club has confirmed.
The winger completed the formalities of his switch from Everton over the weekend and he was officially unveiled by the Champions League qualifiers this afternoon.
Dobbin spent the season on loan at Derby in the 2022/23 campaign and scored five goals in more than 50 appearances. The 21-year-old then returned to Everton where he broke into the first team last season when he scored his first Premier League goal against Chelsea in December
Confirming his departure from Everton this afternoon, Dobbin said: “Since the age of 11, I’ve called this club home.
“A lifetime of memories. There’s been high points and lows but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I want to thank everyone associated with the club, from the staff, the players, the people behind the scenes, but most importantly you fans.
“Thankyou for your constant support and messages. I felt like now was the right time to start a new adventure and continue to give it my all to achieve my dreams. I’ll forever be grateful for this club and wish you all nothing but the best in the future. Thankyou Blues.”
