Christian Moore is the top player in America, and I’m tired of you acting like he’s not.

### Tennessee Baseball’s Legendary Walk-Off and Christian Moore’s Heroics Highlight College World Series Opener

On Friday night, Tennessee baseball delivered a legendary walk-off performance to kick off their College World Series run, defeating Florida State 12-11. This victory was largely due to Christian Moore’s outstanding 5-for-6 night at the plate.

Moore finished Game One with a single, two doubles, a triple, and a home run, becoming only the second player ever to hit for the cycle in a CWS game, with the first occurrence in 1956. This exceptional performance is a continuation of Moore’s remarkable season.

Before securing their spot in Omaha, Moore had a chance to seal Evansville’s fate in Game Two of the Knoxville Super Regional but came up short. Since then, he has gone 7-for-9 at the plate with three home runs.

In a similar scenario on Friday night, Moore came to the plate with two outs and one runner on, down two runs. Facing two strikes, he turned to the dugout, said a few words, and then hit a rocket down the third baseline, keeping the Vols alive.

Moore was the game-tying run on Blake Burke’s ninth-inning double, allowing the Vols to tie the game and ultimately win it on Dylan Dreiling’s walk-off hit, securing the victory and eliminating the Seminoles.

Throughout the season, Moore has proven to be the best player in the SEC and one of the best in the nation. He boasts a .385 batting average with 33 home runs and 72 RBIs, an .822 slugging percentage, and a .460 on-base percentage. His defense is also solid, with a .954 fielding percentage.

Despite his impressive stats, Moore has not received the recognition he deserves. He was overlooked for the SEC Player of the Year Award, even though his stats were superior to the winner’s. He also wasn’t a Golden Spikes finalist or a First-Team All-American.

If Moore’s stats were evaluated without his name, he would undoubtedly be a First-Team All-American, a Golden Spikes finalist, and the SEC Player of the Year.

Christian Moore is the best player in college baseball, and it’s time to acknowledge that. He just delivered one of the most outstanding individual performances seen in a Tennessee uniform, proving to everyone who doubted him that he is the real deal.
