Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers is reportedly nearing a transfer to PAOK.
The 29-year-old joined Ibrox last summer as a key signing by former manager Michael Beale, but struggled to find his best form throughout the season, despite Philippe Clement’s continued support. Dessers ended the campaign with 23 goals, despite criticism of his performance levels. It now appears that the Nigerian international will be part of Clement’s overhaul of the Light Blues’ squad.
According to Nova Sports, talks are at an “advanced” stage, with Dessers reportedly eager to join the Greek champions this summer. The forward is “looking for the next stage of his career,” and his representatives are said to be satisfied with the financial offer. Dessers is unlikely to be the only departure from Rangers this summer, as both James Tavernier and Connor Goldson have been linked with moves to the Saudi Pro League, and the club is reportedly open to offers for Todd Cantwell.
