Logan McDonald has expressed his desire to remain with the Sydney Swans despite interest from the Collingwood Magpies and other Victorian clubs.

“Sydney is not too dissimilar – I call it Perth on steroids. I’ve loved my time here,” McDonald said (via afl.com.au). “I’m happy here. Ever since I’ve stepped foot in here, the club’s been so welcoming to me and my family. They’ve invested a lot in my development and helped me become the player I am today. I still have a lot of growth ahead, and I’m just trying to repay their faith in me. I’m happy where I am, and I’ll leave the contract negotiations to my manager and the club.”

“It’s smart of the club to lock them away. We have a lot of talent in the room. We’re all close mates and enjoy spending time together at the club every day. We want to stay together because we believe that’s the key to performing well on the field,” he added.
