Up until lately, there were not many strong rumors that Woods might join LIV Golf.

The future of Tiger Woods is a subject of constant interest. Despite his injuries and mishaps, Woods was able to get back on the golf field. It’s hard to expect a 48-year-old golfer with injury concerns to perform very well, despite some hoping he would return to his previous level of play. As we’ve already discussed, a number of variables have led to his results in recent times being far from his previous level of excellence.

Woods is renowned for often endorsing the PGA Tour, lending his support to it, and serving as a vital spokesman for the organization. But ever since LIV Golf was founded, he and Rory McIlroy’s voices have become even more noticeable. The stars of this golf tour and PGA Tour management are frustrated since several well-known golfers have quit the PGA Tour to join LIV Golf.

During those times, Tiger Woods expressed that it is disgraceful for individuals to leave the PGA Tour, which has been instrumental in their careers and has launched many stars. The 48-year-old golfer couldn’t understand why some players, frustrated, would turn their backs on the Tour.

Speculations about Woods joining LIV Golf were minimal until recently. British media (EXPRESS) reports suggest the American golfer was offered between £572-654 million to join the Saudi-backed Tour. This offer reportedly came soon after LIV Golf was established, but Woods chose to decline it.

LIV Golf’s strategy revolves around money, attracting star players by offering substantial financial incentives. The tour’s leaders had a clear vision for the future, aiming to recruit prominent names that would generate profit, spark interest, and entice fans to watch the sport.
