KV Kortrijk has announced the departures of a former Hertha Berlin defender and a Uruguayan striker.

KV Kortrijk has announced that Felipe Avenatti and Christalino Atemona will not be returning next season. Atemona, who previously played for Hertha Berlin, joined the team on a free transfer in the winter of 2023 but struggled to make a significant impact. The former German youth international appeared in only 13 matches over one and a half seasons, with just two appearances during the 2023/2024 season.

Avenatti, who has played for several Belgian clubs in recent years, was in his second stint with Kortrijk. He previously had a loan spell with the club from Bologna in 2018 and has since played for Standard Liege, Beerschot, Union Saint-Gilloise, and Antwerp. The 31-year-old scored three goals in 36 appearances during the 2023/2024 season. Overall, he made 99 appearances and scored 26 goals for Kortrijk, with his best season being his first, where he netted 15 goals in 31 games.
